About this position

Join HARIBO in the responsible world of high product quality, where you will oversee the development and management of the international Corporate Regulatory Affairs department. You will coordinate with the Senior Vice President of Corporate Research & Regulatory Affairs, to whom you will report, and work closely with the Regulatory Affairs teams of our national subsidiaries. Other relevant interfaces include Corporate Research, Corporate Quality Management, Corporate Recipe Management, the Central Laboratory, Legal Department, Corporate Communications, and Procurement.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Building and leading the international Corporate Regulatory Affairs department, both disciplinarily and technically.
  • Developing and establishing methods for the systematic, regulatory review of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials.
  • Creating and implementing group-wide policies regarding the use of raw materials, packaging materials, and product labeling.
  • Digitizing your methods and policies.
  • Participating in global projects for the development and optimization of recipes, raw materials, and packaging materials.
  • Serving as the primary contact for external regulatory inquiries from authorities, customers, and partners.
Qualifications you bring:
  • Completed Master's or Diploma degree, State Examination in Food Chemistry, or a comparable degree in Food Technology / Nutritional Science.
  • Several years of leadership experience in the food industry in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management, preferably in the confectionery industry.
  • Extensive experience preparing for and supporting GFSI audits (FSSC ISO 22000, IFS, BRC) concerning regulatory issues.
  • Excellent knowledge of raw materials, especially gelling and thickening agents, flavors, and coloring foods, combined with experience in industrial food manufacturing.
  • Fluent English skills and an analytical, assertive working style for daily communication across interfaces.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and MS Office.
