  • Design and implement yielding strategies to maximise profitability.
  • Work with Marketing & Sales to ensure commercial priorities.

Overview

Director Commercial (Germany, Austria and Switzerland Region) within TUI, you'll be responsible for steering commercial performance and competitive positioning, reporting directly to the Managing Director of the Region and serving as a key member of the Region Board. You will be at the forefront of aligning the Region's commercial activities with the overarching TUI Group strategy.

About the Job
  • Lead commercial strategy: Develop and own the comprehensive Commercial Strategy & Plan for the Region across Accommodation, Flights, and Ancillaries to maximize Region EBIT.
  • Drive performance: Direct accountability for the Region's flight & hotel risk profile, load factor/occupancy, and total passenger volumes and revenue, with significant impact on EBIT.
  • Optimize pricing & revenue: Define and execute robust a pricing strategy across all product types based on cost base, competitive environment, and market dynamics.
  • Manage capacity: Own planning and scheduling for airline volumes and flight allotments, defining and managing risk plans to optimize capacity and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and adjust: Oversee delivery or volumes and risk proportion, analysing performance results and initiating necessary adjustments to minimise risk exposure and seize margin opportunities.
  • Execute trading strategies: Design and implement yielding strategies, tactics, and policies to maximise profitability through optimised rate of sale, load factors, and margins.
  • Drive commercial promotions: Work with Marketing & Sales to ensure activities focus on commercial priorities and drive personalisation of offers/pricing in the Region.
About You
  • Commercial leadership expertise: You have proven experience leading commercial business areas within the Travel industry or large Commercial functions in global environments.
  • Strategic vision: You can think strategically and innovatively, anticipating market trends and adapting strategies to drive the business forward.
  • Excellent commercial judgement: You possess excellent analytical skills with experience balancing risk and commercial KPIs to achieve profitability goals.
  • Data-driven decision maker: You thrive on analysing commercial platform data, drawing meaningful insights, and translating them into effective action plans that drive business results.
  • Relationship builder: You're adept at establishing positive relationships across the business at Director level, building consensus and influencing decision-making processes.
