The Opportunity:

This individual will partner with the Commercial Dental & Vision leadership team and be a key contributor to all size segments of the Commercial market. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic actuary to develop and enhance pricing models and support profitable business growth for our Commercial dental and vision business.

How you will contribute:

Enhance, design, implement and maintain actuarial pricing tools to support market leading pricing capabilities with a focus on rating algorithms, compliance, and data capture.

Collaborate with key business stakeholders in a matrixed-organization to support profitable growth

Conduct market analysis to support strategy development, financial planning and business decision making

Contribute to organizational forecasts and identify opportunities to implement solutions that will enhance our value prop and improve our ability to scale with planned growth

Develop outstanding portfolio management capabilities to support business intelligence and management information, including calculation and reporting of key actuarial operating performance

Provide actuarial support for Rate Filings

Develops, coaches and engages people to higher levels of performance

Demonstrate the highest standards of ethics, diversity and inclusion as part of Sun Life's commitment to fostering a sustainable business model

What you will bring with you:

8+ years of relevant experience and/or a high level of technical expertise with a preference in the Commercial dental and vision space

Credentialed (FSA/ASA) with active status in the Society of Actuaries

Outstanding ability to think strategically

Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and apply critical thinking and creativity to solve problems

Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills

Experience working in a team environment collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders

Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, verbal) with the ability to explain complex ideas to broad audiences; knows when to go deep and when to stay at a high level

Salary Range: $153,400 - $230,100
