The Director of Applications Support, EMEAI, is responsible for leading a high-performing regional team of application specialists. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional customer support across pre- and post-sales activities, driving customer satisfaction, loyalty, and commercial success. The Director will collaborate closely with sales , service, marketing, and R&D teams to align application support strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the EMEAI Applications Support team, fostering a culture of Customer focus, cross-functional collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Define and execute the regional applications support strategy in alignment with global objectives and regional commercial priorities.
Ensure timely and effective support for customer inquiries, demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting across SCIEX’s product portfolio.
Partner and works alongside Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to achieve target, drive customer engagement initiatives, support product launches, and supports campaigns.
Drive, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including Utilisation, Demo and Team Selling win rates, Revenue generated from pre-sales activities and training delivery, Net Easy Score and other customer satisfaction metrics, and growth of the region.
Drive operational efficiency through the use of DBS tools, digital platforms, and knowledge-sharing systems.
Represent the voice of the customer in cross-functional forums and contribute to product and service innovation.
Manage budget, resource planning, and talent development for the Applications Support function across the region.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field;
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in technical support, applications, sales or related customer-facing roles.
Strong knowledge of mass spectrometry, knowledge of capillary electrophoresis is a plus. Experience in at least 2 of the following markets in a previous role: Food/Beverage, Environmental, Biopharma, or Clinical.
Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
Strategic thinker with strong operational execution and data-driven decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership capabilities.
Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
