  • Oversees monthly closure of statutory books and adherence to USGAAP/IFRS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Drives consolidation of Regional Balance and prepares executive financial reports.
  • Approves and ensures accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and manual entries, maintaining data integrity.
  • Acts as a key advisor on accounting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Lead a seamless coordination of demands from other departments, across the different markets, ensuring compliance to stablished deadlines for the delivery of financial information and legal deadlines for tax payments.
  • Coordinates closely with the Tax department to ensure the tax transactions are correctly reflected in the accounting records.
  • Builds effective partnerships with other accounting teams and internal stakeholder teams to ensure alignment.
  • Functions as an advisor on intricate accounting matters, offering strategic guidance to the executive board, internal stakeholders, and the corporate finance team, fostering informed decision-making and mitigating risks.
  • Partner with Human Resources team and Senior Management to recruit, develop and retain staff.
  • Provide disciplined performance management for team. Define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner
  • Champions the assurance of data quality and precision prepared by the team, in adherence to local regulations and corporate protocols, thus safeguarding the company's integrity and compliance.
  • Spearheads the oversight of SOX and internal audit processes, ensuring stakeholders and executive are properly and timely briefed as well as alignment with organizational standards.
  • Leverage systems tools to effectively improve reconciliations, processes, analyses and reporting, and to identify process efficiencies within the designated areas of scope.
  • Sets and implements a strategy for the organization evolution, seeking ways to optimize the current structure, increase automation, better leverage intellectual capital and drive synergy with International and Corporate teams.
