About the Role

The Manager Digital Supply Chain Manager for Procurement Applications will be responsible to manage and deliver best-in-class services for a complex Supply Chain systems landscape at corporate level. You will be part of the Global Digital Supply Chain team that is responsible to manage, admin, support, evaluating, designing and deploying Supply Chain platforms, processes and systems along with the required resources either internal or outsourced.

The Digital Supply Chain Manager for Procurement & Compliance will manage and support the global–regional and local projects and systems deployments.

This position is the main point of contact and accountable of the Procurement Digital applications indicators, operations, growth, standardization, stabilization, innovation, expansion and consolidation. This position will be based in USA or Germany.

This position has a deep impact in the complete Harman Supply Chain Procurement and Compliance process and systems for all divisions. This role will interact with different organizational levels from global and regional Business Process Owners (BPO) for procurement and compliance.

Your Team

This position has some direct reports for allocated for Digital Supply Chain Networks in Germany and India. The Manager Digital Supply Chain Procurement and Compliance manage, supervise and admin a set of service providers/contractors and project managers that will be engage when working on the Digital and Business-related projects, incidents or services request. This position will report to a Digital Supply Chain Director or a regional Senior Manager within the team.

What You Will Do

  • This position will be accountable and responsible to manage, identify and admin new or existing Procurement and Compliance Global Digital Supply Chain platforms, systems, process implementations, or enhancements.
  • Interface with all levels of management and staff to provide strategic and tactical advice related to the Digital Supply Chain platforms, systems and process.
  • Accountable to establish a strong relationship and service delivery reporting to regional supply chain stakeholders.
  • The Manager Digital Supply Chain Procurement and Compliance, will manage and lead the analysis of current business needs to anticipate and provide solutions applicable business challenges and requirements either globally and regionally based but not limited the current SAP Landscape (SAP Purchasing, SAP Ariba, SAP SBN, etc.)
  • Effectively define, support, and manage the resource structure.
  • Manage and work with Digital, business and external (Outsourced) teams to assign resources, fix problems, manage projects and resolve service request related to Digital Supply Chain Systems and Services.
  • Accountable to create and sustain Global Supply Chain standards and be accountable to write functional – technical specifications-requirements.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple complex global technology-centric projects in the region or along with solution’s effort, schedule cost and quality.
  • Be the point of reference (SME) for Supply Chain Networks and establish periodic knowledge sharing sessions with key users and business SMEs along with Digital teams responsible to development of training material, process documentations and organization of training courses.
  • Provide level 3 support globally and regionally or within location time zone. Follows established methodologies during system development and ensures systems adhere to the Harman ERP /ECC standards and procedures established by the Digital department. Develops and maintains all system related documentation.

What You Need

  • This role requires thought leadership, change orientation, excellent collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree equivalent in Computers, Information Technology, or related field.
  • A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
  • Strong Industry experience at any of the following Industries: Automotive, Electronic Consumer Products, High Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing, strategic projects as well as Application Development projects.
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests, simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests.
  • Demonstrated experience (> 10 years) of increasing responsibilities within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization.
  • Must have (> 10 years) knowledge and understanding of SAP Ariba, SAP S4/Hana central procurement, SAP SRM-MM, SAP GTS, SAP Vertex. Having SAP PP, EDI ABAP or SAP PP and general transportation and trade compliance systems is a big +.
  • 8 + Years’ Experience in handling vendor and contractors’ teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP/4 Hana central procurement experience and certification.
  • Ariba cloud implementation experience and certification.
  • Global transportation management and trade compliance systems experience.
  • General knowledge of BI and Analytics.
  • Project management related certifications (PMO, Agile, Scrum).
  • Formal Problem-solving training or certifications.
