Job Description:

The IFF N&H Germany GmbH & Co. KG is seeking a Digital Scientist within the Polymer Synthesis & Modification group of IFF Pharma Solutions. This role focuses on integrating digital technologies into R&D operations to enhance operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing and implementing digital solutions, including automation and database systems.
2. Analyzing data, developing scientific models, and deploying them.
3. Applying advanced computational materials science and machine learning techniques.
4. Managing and executing digital transformation projects.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and deliver projects.
6. Serving as a technical partner within Pharma Solutions’ R&D organization.

Candidate Requirements:

• Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, or computer science, with 3+ years of experience. Knowledge of chemistry is advantageous.
• Experience in designing and building digital solutions.
• Strong skills in data analysis, statistics, machine learning, and model deployment.
• Self-motivated learner with broad knowledge base.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Additional Information:

The position is ideally based at the Pharma Innovation Center in Bomlitz, Germany, requiring basic German language skills; English is the primary business language. Alternative locations include Wilmington, Delaware, or Midland, Michigan, USA. The role is full-time and permanent.
