Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at CWPM. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of trucks to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, diagnostics, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with garbage trucks, tractor trailers, roll offs, and Hooklift trucks, from engine malfunctions to hydraulic system problems.
  3. Repair and replace faulty components or parts, such as brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems.
  4. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  5. Use diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose problems and ensure proper functioning of vehicles.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance work, and parts used for each vehicle.
  7. Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  8. Collaborate with other team members, including mechanics and maintenance staff, to coordinate repairs and maximize efficiency.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in diesel engine repair to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a maintenance or repair facility.
  2. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, components, and operations.
  3. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  6. Certification or degree in diesel mechanics or a related field.
  7. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
