Your new dream job

• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate repetitive tasks, deployments, and system management to reduce human error and improve efficiency. This involves creating scripts, CI/CD pipelines, or automating infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaboration with Development and SRE Teams: Work closely with developers and reliability engineers to align platform capabilities with application requirements. Provide tools and frameworks that promote best practices in CI/CD, testing, and deployment.
• Reliability and Performance Optimization: Continuously improve system uptime by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing system architecture.
• Capacity Planning and Scaling: Assess and predict system resource requirements (CPU, memory, storage) to ensure infrastructure can scale with demand. Implement auto-scaling solutions to handle load spikes without human intervention, maintaining performance under various conditions.
• System Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ElasticSearch. Detect and respond to issues proactively. Manage incidents, outages, and failures swiftly to minimize downtime, including documentation, communication, and post-incident analysis.

  • Cloud Services (preferably Google, but AWS is also acceptable)

  • Extensive experience with Terraform / Terragrunt

  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes / Container Technology

Your typical day at Digistore24

• Daily morning video call to discuss yesterday's progress and today's plans.

• Check latest cloud logs and pull requests, update an IaC module after reviewing change logs for breaking changes.

• Pick a new ticket from the backlog to develop a dashboard for better system overview.

• Discuss solutions with colleagues and start coding.

• Assist a developer with a new CI/CD workflow, providing an initial prototype.

• Review resource allocation of an application, check current utilization, and adjust deployment accordingly.

• Review and approve colleagues' pull requests.

• Identify an unmonitored endpoint, create a ticket, and update Terraform code to include it.
