Zusammenfassung

Avelios Medical in Germany is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own deployment and operations across cloud and clinical environments. You will lead the DevOps function, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and engineering to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

The role focuses on CI/CD, infrastructure as code with Terraform/Ansible, monitoring and incident response, and strict compliance for healthcare settings. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in DevOps/infrastructure roles, ideally in scalable or production-critical systems.
• Experience in leading or mentoring DevOps teams, guiding and growing engineers.
• Deep expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and modern DevOps toolchains.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
• Experience in leading or mentoring engineers.
• Strong ownership mindset and hands-on problem-solving approach.
• Interest in working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus but not required.

THE TEAM AND ROLE

We’re looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer (all genders) to join our infrastructure team and take ownership of deploying and operating our software across both cloud and clinical environments.

In this role, you will not only drive technical excellence in infrastructure and operations, but also lead and develop the DevOps function. You’ll work closely with developers, product teams, and leadership to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and reliable, while setting standards and guiding the team.

This role is critical in shaping how we build, deploy, and operate healthcare software at scale.

Your Responsibilities
