Digital Waffle in Berlin is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who wants more than simply keeping production running. This role focuses on root-cause analysis, robust architectures, and meaningful influence on how technology is built and operated.

You will own reliability, implement SRE practices, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive observability across the stack, while modernising legacy infrastructure with prudent risk management. Hybrid work available.

Formación

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering or similar.
• Hands-on production experience on cloud platforms.
• Strong Linux knowledge and distributed systems understanding.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar).
• Strong CI/CD experience and container/Kubernetes know-how.
• Experience building monitoring/observability and incident response.
• Understand SRE principles beyond the title.
• Experience with incidents and post-mortems.
• Ability to modernise legacy infrastructure thoughtfully and securely.

Responsabilidades

They're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who wants more than simply keeping production running. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting to the root of difficult infrastructure problems, improving systems properly and having a genuine influence on how technology is built and operated.

• We're looking for someone with around 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience running production workloads on cloud platforms
• A solid understanding of Linux and distributed systems
• Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool
• Strong CI/CD experience
• Practical Kubernetes and container experience
• Experience building meaningful monitoring and observability
• A genuine understanding of SRE principles rather than simply the job title
• Experience dealing with incidents and improving systems following them
• The ability to modernise older infrastructure thoughtfully and pragmatically
• An understanding of cloud security and cost optimisation
• Programming experience with Python, Go or a similar language
• Будет плюсом: Experience with hybrid/on-premise environments or security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 would be a bonus
