Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechatronics disciplines including actuation, sensor tech, electronics, control engineering, dynamics and thermal engineering.
• Experience in development, characterization, and application of optical sensors, ideally in high-precision positioning or optical systems.
• Independent and systematic working style with good organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Further development of sensor systems focusing on design verification, manufacturability, integrability, and risk management.

• Ensuring quality, performance and delivery capability in collaboration with production, suppliers and system development.

• Technical responsibility for high precision sensor systems throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development to series products
• Further development of sensor systems with a focus on design verification, manufacturability, integrability, and risk management
• Coordination and integration of sensor technology with adjacent disciplines such as mechanics, sensor technology, electronics, control engineering, and software
• Ensuring quality, performance and delivery capability in close collaboration with production, suppliers and system development
• Requirements engineering in close contact with relevant stakeholders
• Technical supplier management and further development of suppliers, as well as evaluation of development and manufacturing processes
• Presentation of the assigned topics to internal and external customers

Your Profile

• Excellent university degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering cybernetics, or a comparable field; initial professional experience and/or a PhD are desirable
• Strong knowledge of relevant mechatronics disciplines (actuation, sensor technology, electronics, control engineering, dynamics, thermal engineering)
• Proven experience in the development, characterization, and application of optical sensors, ideally in high precision positioning or optical systems
• Independent and systematic way of working as well as excellent organizational and communication skills
• Team spirit, assertiveness, and a high level of commitment and motivation
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
