Freudenberg Group in Germany seeks a Mechanical Engineer to develop and continuously improve sealing solutions for compressors and turbomachinery. You will independently manage development projects from concept to market launch.

The role involves designing modular product platforms, collaborating with international customers, suppliers, and manufacturing sites, and contributing to hydrogen and decarbonization initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Fluid Mechanics or similar.
• Experience developing and designing technical products in turbomachinery/sealing tech.
• Proficient with modern 3D CAD systems.
• Experience leading technical development projects desirable.
• Analytical, structured, proactive with initiative and responsibility.
• Strong teamwork and international collaboration.
• Very good German and English, with willingness to travel internationally.

• Development and continuous improvement of innovative sealing solutions for compressors and other turbomachinery
• Independent management of development projects from concept phase through to successful market launch
• Planning, execution and evaluation of development, qualification and validation testing
• Design and further development of modular product platforms and intelligent modular systems for seal product families
• Close collaboration with international customers, suppliers, as well as manufacturing and service locations
• Contributing to future-oriented technologies for applications in hydrogen, CO², energy transition and decarbonization
• Development of sustainable and emission-free sealing solutions for a climate-friendly industry

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Fluid Mechanics or a comparable engineering discipline
• Experience in the development and design of technical products, ideally in the field of turbomachinery, sealing technology or related industries
• Proficient in the use of modern 3D CAD systems
• Experience in leading technical development projects is desirable
• Analytical, structured and solution-oriented way of working, combined with a high level of initiative and sense of responsibility
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with enthusiasm for working in interdisciplinary and international teams
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills, as well as willingness to undertake occasional international business travel
