Role Description

As a hybrid Analyst Developer and Implementation Consultant within our Capital Markets team, you’ll play a pivotal role in both the software development lifecycle and client-facing implementation activities. This dynamic position blends technical expertise with hands-on delivery, offering a unique opportunity to shape solutions from design to deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Software Development
  • Design, code, and test applications with a focus on quality and standards.
  • Estimate development tasks and troubleshoot defects.
  • Document user requirements and product functionalities clearly.
  • Collaborate within a high-performing team and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and ethical standards.
Implementation & Delivery
  • Configure and install Syn~ systems (hosted, on-premise, or cloud-based).
  • Manage data configuration, migration, and software upgrades.
  • Design integration and reporting solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Capture and document customization and transformation requirements.
  • Support business transformation and provide consultancy services.
  • Verify and triage defects; participate in customer support (including on-call rotations).

Specific Role Responsibilities

The FNZ Capital Markets Support and Implementation team delivers high-value services to both existing and prospective clients, ensuring successful implementation outcomes and robust, supportable solutions in collaboration with Technology, Delivery, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Implementation & Support
  • Work with FNZ customers to help define implementation and upgrade plans.
  • Configure and customise FNZ Syn~ based on client requirements.
  • Understand use of Syn~, including system interfaces and operational workflows.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer to clients.
  • Provide consultancy services and participate in on-call support rotations.
Software Development
  • Design, code, test, and install applications in line with development standards.
  • Estimate tasks, troubleshoot defects, and maintain code quality through unit testing.
  • Document systems and develop expertise in application modules.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Support team capability building and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Actively engage in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain strong communication across business units to drive high performance.
Experience required:
Preferred Industry Experience
  • Proven background in software implementation within financial services.
  • Familiarity with broking and custody markets relevant to FNZ and its clients.
  • 2+ years in software delivery within financial services or custody environments.
  • Understanding of data migration best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
  • First-class degree or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience in implementation roles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and initiative in client-focused settings.
  • Independent, delivery-focused work style with excellent time management.
  • Excellent computer proficiency and organisational skills.
  • 2+ years in programming and application design, with qualifications in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Java, SQL, XML and understanding of architecture/design standards.
