What you’ll do

As a Developer (f/m/d) for SAP Build Process Automation, you’ll build reliable and scalable cloud services for end-to-end automation of customer processes. These span across entire enterprises and range from simple approval workflows to innovative AI-powered processes at a global scale. You are passionate, curious, and want to apply the latest technologies to build, run, and operate state-of-the-art microservices for process execution. Together we want to evolve the heart of SAP Build Process Automation on SAP's Business Technology Platform.

In your day-to-day work as a Developer (f/m/d) within a Scrum team, you'll focus on product development while applying cutting-edge technologies like Java, Spring, GitHub Copilot, JavaScript, Cloud Foundry, HANA, Kafka, Dynatrace, etc. You will implement advanced automation strategies to streamline development and accelerate staged deployments to our data centers.

What you bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Very good software engineering and problem-solving skills, preferably in Java and JavaScript.
• You strive for quality and are familiar with agile software engineering practices; TDD is known, and CI/CD is no mystery to you.
• You enjoy applying your analytical skills to crack “hard nuts” and are willing to step out of your comfort zone if needed.
• You are focused on outcome over output.
• You take responsibility for your personal development and learning while enjoying solving problems together with your team.
• Fluent English language skills; German language skills are beneficial.
