TEKsystems seeks a skilled IT Desktop Support professional in Bellevue, WA for a contract role. You will perform on-site analysis and resolutions of complex desktop issues, manage end-user hardware/software, and coordinate with network teams to optimize the desktop environment.

You will support executives and developers, handle MAC requests, and maintain assets and documentation while ensuring quick, professional service and high availability.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with IT projects (refreshes, deployment, moves).

Aufgaben

• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and implement corrective solutions.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software.
• Assess hardware upgrades and install components such as CPUs, RAM, disks, and cards.
• Collaborate with network technicians to ensure efficient operation of the desktop computing environment.
• Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or emails regarding desktop problems.
• Handle MAC requests submitted by the service desk tool.
• Ensure desktop connections are working, both wired and wireless.
• Prepare tests and reports for monitoring desktop performance.
• Maintain procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations.
• Develop and maintain an asset inventory.
• Document failures, repairs, installations, and removals.
• Liaise with third-party support and IT hardware vendors when needed.
• Research desktop products for procurement and development; recommend purchases.
• Assist in long-term strategies and capacity planning for desktop hardware needs.

Description

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
• Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to hardware including the installation of CPUs, I/O and NIC cards, hard disks, ribbon cables, hard drives, RAM, memory chips, CD-ROMs, and so on.
• Collaborate with network technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the Company’s desktop computing environment. Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user technology, networking or software products.
• Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems.
• Answer to and perform moves, adds, and change (MAC) requests as they are submitted by the service desk tool.
• Ensure that physical desktop connections, as well as wireless connectors between PCs and servers, etc., are in proper working order.
• Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance, provide performance statistics and reports.
• Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.
• Develop and maintain an inventory of all defined assets.
• Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
• If necessary, liaise with third-party support and IT hardware vendors.
• Conduct research on desktop products in support of IT procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend products for purchase.
• Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

This is working 3 days a week on site in Bellevue, WA. Will be supporting teams of developers/engineers.

Tech skills

1. Setup, maintenance, and real-time support of boardroom AV, video conferencing and presentation systems used by executives.
2. Strong hands-on with Networking
3. Strong hands-on skills across macOS and Windows 11, including MDM tools such as Jamf, Intune
4. Should own full ownership of laptops and other IT equipments in the office

Soft Skill

1. Experience supporting senior executives, C-suite personnel with high service expectation.
2. Ability to work closely with senior leadership and handle sensitive information with absolute professionalism and confidentiality.
3. Able to prioritize independently, manage a ticket queue, and proactively flag or fix issues before they reach executives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
