An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer Transmissions (f/m/d) to join Rolls-Royce Deutschland in Dahlewitz near Berlin.

In this role you'll join an experienced team to develop internal & external gearboxes for jet engines. You'll contribute by creating concepts, designing and analysing components including bearings, seals, gears, shafts & housings. Experience with rolling-element bearings and/or seals desirable.

Key Accountabilities

• Creation and presentation of design concepts and solutions, production drawings (2D and 3D-Model-Based-Definition) assembly instructions and complete dimensional tolerance stacks.
• Orchestrate Technical Review/Design Reviews and communicate solutions to the project/customer.
• Application of Robust design including DfM (Design for Manufacturing) to ensure a production ready solution.
• Requirements management and proof of the fulfilment of requirements.
• Cooperation with specialists (e.g. analysis, oil system, validation and others) to improve components, assemblies and systems in terms of efficiency, reliability and robustness.

• Experience of working in cross-functional teams.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
