Job summary

ELA Container GmbH, based in Haren (Ems), seeks a Design Engineer to develop components and assemblies for mobile room solutions from initial 3D modeling to production readiness. You will contribute ideas, take on responsibility, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to push modular container design forward.

The role requires an engineering degree with a specialization in metal construction or related fields, plus experience in steel/mechanical engineering and proficiency in 3D CAD,

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree with specialization in metal construction, custom machine building, plant engineering, interior fit-out, or equivalent.
• Experience in steel or mechanical engineering and interior fittings design, preferably in container/modular/vehicle construction.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor; MS Office proficiency; strong German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Create technical data: drawings, 3D models, and production documents for series production.
• Design and construct products for container construction in mobile rooms sector.
• Participate in product development process and advance modular standard components.
• Manage projects with attention to deadlines, costs and quality.

As a Design Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll develop components and assemblies for innovative container solutions—from the initial 3D model all the way to production readiness. Your Future Role

• Creation of technical data (e.g. drawing creation, 3D model)
• Development, design and construction of products for container construction in the mobile rooms sector
• Creation of design and production documents for series production and order-related documentation
• Participation in the product development process
• Further development of standard components according to the modular principle
• Constructive design of mechanical assemblies
• Responsibility for project management as well as deadline, cost and quality control

What You Bring to the Team

• Degree in engineering with a specialization in metal construction, custom machine building, plant engineering, interior fit-out, or a comparable qualification, such as an apprenticeship as a technical product designer or technician (m/f/x)
• Experience in steel or mechanical engineering as well as in the design of interior fittings, preferably in container, modular, or vehicle construction
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally Autodesk Inventor
• Experience with MS Office
• Very good knowledge of German and English
