The Technical Support team provides global assistance to frontline units and directly to customers for complex retrofits and modernization projects, working closely with the Technology organization and Equipment Engineering to develop and maintain our product portfolio.

We are seeking to hire a Design & Commissioning Engineer (Electrics) to strengthen our technical support capacity. This role involves supporting offer engineering, electrical design, and commissioning activities. You will collaborate with customers and colleagues across various units and stakeholders, facilitating activities requiring diverse expertise.

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Delivering electrical designs: designing, implementing, and approving conceptual electrical solutions for port technology systems.
2. Participating in commissioning and acceptance tests for STS, RTG, RMG, and slewing cranes.
3. Supporting offer engineering and contributing to the drafting of specifications and plans for modernization and retrofit projects, including technical feasibility, risk analysis, and solution proposals.
4. Managing documentation related to offer engineering and planning activities.
5. Ensuring detailed hardware and software engineering for retrofits, modernization projects, and energy-saving solutions in collaboration with other teams.
6. Consulting on modernization concepts for different crane generations and variants, sharing technical information with subsidiaries and representatives.
7. Supporting onsite service technicians involved in global service projects.
8. Providing technical consultation to the spare parts team, including component substitution and conversion kits.
9. Conducting training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.

What we expect from you

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering and relevant professional experience in electrical design and development. Experience in software programming for drives and PLC/CMS is essential, and knowledge of crane technology is highly advantageous.

We value strong teamwork, intercultural competence, and a solutions-oriented approach benefiting the customer. Fluency in English and German is required.
