Qualifikationen

DCS Support Engineer

As a DCS Support Engineer (m/f/x) based in the general area of Northern Germany, you will be responsible for the configuration, documentation, and commissioning while offering support to the customers’ inquiries, mainly taking place at their site.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide commissioning and start-up support at customer sites.
  • Support system installation, upgrades, and on-site maintenance of DeltaV systems.
  • Analyze, document, and solve technical customer requests and inquiries.
  • Support training of customer engineers or operators on site.
  • Escalate problems to specialists in EMR Support Centre for further investigation and follow up problems until a solution is implemented.
  • Actively support the sales and service team leader to sell service contracts and their renewal.
  • Participate in the Emerson On-call service.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Completed technical studies in an engineering field.
  • Car driving license and willingness to travel.
  • Relevant working experience in an Engineering or Service position within the process industry such as Food & Beverages, Life Science, or Chemical.
  • Good communication skills in German and English language proficiency (written/read/spoken).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience within the Process Automation Industry, DCS (DeltaV preferred), PLCs, Control strategies and technologies, Commissioning and start-up of Automation, Server, PCs, and network equipment, as well as being able to work with modern software tools and applications.
