To strengthen the Competence Center (KC) Database and Application Services at NOW IT GmbH in Düsseldorf, we are looking to recruit a

Database Administrator MS SQL (f/m/d)

The KC Database and Application Services is responsible for the planning, design, provision, operation, maintenance and support of the database and application services used at NOW IT GmbH, taking into account the existing infrastructure and system interfaces. The area of database services includes the database management systems (DBMS) Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server, which are used throughout the company.

As an MS SQL database administrator (m/f/d), you will support us with, among other things:

• Contributing to the planning and design of MS SQL installations
• Implementation of deployment, operation including maintenance, monitoring and support
• Further development of MS SQL installations
• Further development of the automation of the necessary work steps
• Collaboration in topic-related working and project groups in the NOW IT network and at DRV-IT

Your Qualification

You have a degree in computer science (Bachelor of Science) from a university of applied sciences or a comparable relevant degree at level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework.

We would also like you to have:

• Knowledge in the field of relational database management systems.
• Experience in the areas of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Cluster.
• Specialist knowledge of the Windows Server operating system
• Programming and scripting languages, such as Power Shell and TSQL
• Knowledge of the Git version management system
• Data protection and data security regulations
