Qualifikationen

As the asset manager of Munich Re and ERGO, MEAG makes a significant contribution to the success of Munich Re Group. Our staff bring together peerless know-how in all the relevant asset classes and are the driving force behind our success as one of the world's top asset managers. We are seeking a talented Data Scientist for our (Gen)AI Transformation Management Department. The successful candidate will be part of the Agent Development team that develops and tests AI agents for a wide range of use cases as well as continuously improving these agents after their initial implementation.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Execute prompt engineering and grounding, construction of ML, data mining, and AI models for AI use cases (incl. model selections and fine-tuning as well as design testing and deploying)
  • Develop efficient and accurate analytical models that mimic business decisions and incorporate models into analytical data products and tools
  • Define data requirements for central IT platform in collaboration with data engineers and software engineers
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to inform the development of AI-powered agent solutions
  • Ensure quality assurance and implement risk controls (maintaining data governance and associated risks)
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform agent solution development
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data management, AI, and ML, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve data enabler services and capabilities
Your profile:

  • Master's degree (or PhD) (e.g., in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related field)
  • Several years of experience with working with traditional AI or GenAI solutions
  • 3+ years of working experience in data science (or in similar roles)
  • Proficiency in defining post-processing guardrails, and building satellite ML models
  • Knowledge of natural language processing, hyperparameter/LLM finetuning, and optimally reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF)
  • Experience with data visualization tools and specialization in NLP and text, image, and video
  • Strong programming skills in common programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, Ruby, R)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Business proficiency in English (C1) and German (C1) are required.
