Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Treaty Division 3 team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary, 24-month contract, starting as soon as possible, as a Data Scientist - Latin American Market.

What you can look forward to:

• Developing and implementing computational tools to automate and optimize underwriting workflows
• Designing and applying mathematical models to analyze reinsurance datasets
• Applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Document AI techniques to extract, understand, and transform unstructured data
• Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks such as semantic understanding, summarization, and data standardization
• Utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to combine document retrieval with domain-specific context for enhanced decision support

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics or (Business) Mathematics
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis and data consistency techniques
• Experience in developing and validating mathematical models
• Programming skills in R or Python
• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector is a plus
• Native speaker skills in Spanish or Portuguese and proficient in English, with excellent communication skills and a strong connection to Latin America
• Strong analytical thinking, a solution-oriented mindset, high motivation, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
