ABOUT THIS ROLE

In this role, you will build scalable solutions and models to support our business functions (Content, Marketing, Product). Using methods including machine learning and simulation, you will explain, quantify, predict, and prescribe to inform critical business decisions. You will translate business goals into insightful analytics, creating value for stakeholders and customers, and communicate findings clearly to managers and senior leaders.

This position is for a 24-month contract.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Audible's Data Science team collaborates with marketing, content, product, and technology teams to solve business problems with scientific approaches. We employ advanced Data Science (DS), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enhance customer targeting, content personalization, and user experience. We operate in an agile environment, managing the research, design, and development of relevant projects.

As a Data Scientist, you will:

• Develop and validate models to optimize customer interactions
• Create Audible-wide data engineering pipelines
• Innovate with groundbreaking applications using cutting-edge approaches
• Utilize causal inference and develop data visualizations
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML experts, engineers, and other scientists within Amazon

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab)
• Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling tools and techniques
• MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operational Research, or a related field
• Experience in modeling and research design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages
• Experience in a ML or data scientist role within a large tech company
