PAIR Finance is seeking a Team Lead Data Science to advance our ML-driven products and lead a small team of Data Scientists. You will guide technical directions, collaborate with multiple departments, and shape models used for portfolio valuation and decisioning.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong Python data-science skills, and experience with ML frameworks, databases, and cloud infrastructure in a fintech setting.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years experience as Data Scientist, ideally in startup/fintech.
• Extensive Python experience with data processing packages (Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, transformers).
• Experience with agile practices (TDD/BDD, CI, code reviews).
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS).
• Relational DBs: MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar.
• Strong English communication skills.
• First leadership experience in a dynamic environment.
• Track record of ML projects solving business problems.
• Reinforcement Learning experience is a strong plus.

• We are looking for a Team Lead (f/m/d) Data Science to join our team. In this role you will focus on the further development of our Machine Learning products and lead a team of three Data Scientists
• Become part of our strong international team that is transforming the traditional debt collection industry with innovation and a drive for excellence
• Be part of one of our Data Science teams to further optimize our innovative product based on machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Lead and mentor a team of three Data Scientists, providing technical guidance and support
• Work on advanced and demanding AI fields such as our reinforcement learning-driven decisioning product that is used for our outbound communication
• Improve our portfolio valuation models and work closely with our Finance department as stakeholders to ensure high quality output
• Identify, understand, structure, and solve complex problems in collaboration with stakeholders (e.g. Behavioural Science, Tech, Finance, Collection, Market departments)
• Work on projects that deliver measurable value to our business
• Experiment with new technologies and acquire new skills to find clever solutions to the unique challenges we face
• Report directly to our Director of AI & Data Science
