PAIR Finance is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Outbound Data Science team in Berlin. You will help optimize our data architecture and product using machine learning and AI to deliver measurable business value.

You will tackle advanced AI fields like reinforcement learning, collaborate with data scientists, developers, product management and business owners, and continuously learn with a strong emphasis on execution and integrity.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in a startup or fintech.
• Experience with Python and data processing packages (Pandas, Numpy).
• Familiarity with web frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Track-record of successful projects using machine learning to solve business problems.
• Experience with agile development practices such as TDD/BDD, CI, refactoring, code reviews.
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills.

Your Responsibilities:

What we're looking for:

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in a startup or fintech company
• experience with Python and with data processing packages (e.g. Pandas, Numpy)
• familiarity with web frameworks like Flask or FastAPI
• knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• track-record of successful projects using machine learning to solve business problems
• experience with agile development practices such as TDD/BDD, continuous integration, refactoring, code reviews, etc.
• excellent English speaking and writing skills

Things that will make you stand out:

• a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
• experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. pytorch, scikit-learn, transformers)
• hands-on experience with deployment of (ideally open source) LLMs (hosting, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation)
• experience with Reinforcement Learning
• experience with cloud-based infrastructure solutions, such as AWS
