To strengthen our team, we are looking for support at the earliest possible date for our German branch based in Cologne or our French branch in Paris:
Data Privacy Specialist (m/f/d)
Main tasks

Support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data protection practices across the company in accordance with applicable data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), industry standards, and internal policies. Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with personal data processing regulations. Collaborate with various teams and external partners, making this a pivotal position within our organization.

Privacy by Design & Default
  • Embed privacy requirements into new products, processes, and systems by collaborating with business and IT teams.
  • Review and advise on data flows, privacy impact assessments (DPIAs), and records of processing activities (RoPAs).
Policy & Governance
  • Develop, review, and update data privacy policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain and update data processing inventories and support third-country transfer assessments.
  • Monitor and report on data privacy KPIs and assist in regulatory reporting.
Compliance Operations
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for data subject rights requests (DSARs) and support timely responses.
  • Act as the contact for data protection authorities and regulators on operational matters.
Awareness & Training
  • Develop and deliver privacy awareness initiatives for stakeholders across departments.
  • Support onboarding and role-specific training on data handling and retention policies.
Incident & Risk Handling
  • Assist in data breach assessments and root cause analysis with relevant departments.
  • Track remediation activities and support privacy risk reduction.
Vendor & Third-Party Management
  • Assist with vendor privacy risk assessments and contract reviews (e.g., SCCs, DPAs, TIA).
  • Ensure ongoing oversight of privacy obligations for data processors and sub-processors.
Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software
  • Proven experience in data privacy and protection.
  • Knowledge of European privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with data mapping tools, OneTrust, or similar GRC platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational guidance.
  • Fluent in English and one of the following: French or German; additional European languages are a plus.
