Responsibilities

The Data Owner will be responsible for overseeing data governance and quality within Sales and business functions, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and strategic value across the organization. This role will be instrumental in data migration efforts during the ongoing merger, defining governance frameworks, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate will ensure that our CRM system maintains high-quality, trusted data to support operational efficiency and decision-making.

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring they are tailored to evolving business needs and benchmarked against industry best practices.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for all data-related matters within Sales and business functions, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and well-managed data assets.
  • Lead CRM Account data cleanup initiatives, regularly identifying and resolving duplicate, outdated, and incomplete Accounts and other records to improve data accuracy and reliability.
  • Oversee data migration efforts during system transitions, defining criteria for data retention, cleansing, and archiving to ensure seamless integration with minimal disruption.
  • Regularly assess data health, lead cleansing initiatives, and implement strategies to reduce duplicates, outdated records, and bad data that impact business performance.
  • Own and drive cross-departmental discussions on data usability, structure, and long-term governance, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and business objectives.
  • Promote adherence to data policies and best practices across teams and regions, fostering trust, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Evaluate and select third-party vendors or solutions for data-related products or services.
  • Develop reporting and dashboard to track and highlight progress along the identified metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferable experience with system migrations, particularly in CRM (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce).
  • Prior experience (preferably at a Mid or Senior level) in data stewardship, governance, and hygiene, with a strong understanding of data structures and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, governance frameworks, and long-term data strategy within Sales organizations.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and quality through cleansing and enrichment tools (e.g., D&B, ZoomInfo).
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for analysis and reporting.
  • Highly adaptable, problem-solving mindset, capable of handling complex challenges independently.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, ensuring smooth adoption of data governance practices.
