YOUR MISSION AT PLANCRAFT

Own our technical foundation explicitly. From Infrastructure-as-Code to Data Warehousing to internal and external AI Usage - your team is at the heart of things.
We have a Data Warehouse set up, the team came into existence on 01.11.2024. Currently with 3 FTE, we are working on setting up Dashboards and Automations for all departments (Finance, Sales / GTM, Product) - in the future we aim to support the Feature Teams where the technical boundary is high (e.g. abstracting away the complexities of Gemini API or else…). Same goes for Developer Experience, Pipelines and Infra improvements.

Key Objectives

• Develop the whole Data / Cloud Squad - through direct / timely / concise feedback, role-modeling, coaching, mentoring and teaching
• Enhance Developer Experience through smooth, fast pipelines and clear, resilient Infrastructure (including Documentation and Teaching / Mentoring others to use it)
• Advocate for the benefits of AI Usage across the whole company - and leverage strong personal technical delivery to build trust and persuasiveness in the organisation

Expectations for the first 90 days

• Quick onboarding and contributions to all 3 topic areas - leveraging the past experience to both contribute novelty as well as understand our current status quo quickly
• Well-Known and Appreciated within the org for speaking in forums and teaching / mentoring / coaching others
• Establish Trust & Rapport with the Data team / Direct reports

Responsibilities

• Roadmap and Backlog for Data / Cloud Squad
• Scoping, Planning, Implementing Technical Tasks
• Interacting and “Managing Expectations” for internal Stakeholders
• Teaching / Mentoring other Engineers - both within the Team and across the Org

YOUR PROFILE

Must-Have-Skills:

• Comfortable with Mentoring / Teaching / Advocating for a wide set of Technologies
• Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IaC (e.g. Tofu, Terraform)
• Data Experience (some Warehousing, lots of SQL, (very optional) Python)
• Software Engineering (Typescript a big plus, scripting in general)
• Enthusiasm for “modern Development” - ai enhanced engineering
• Comfortable with communication and ownership towards diverse stakeholders: business + tech
• Hamburg-based with willingness to come to the office at least 2-3 days/week
  Fluent in German & English (C1/C2)
