For our Digital division, at our location in München, we are seeking a Data Engineer (m/f/d).

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with extensive experience in Databricks and a foundational understanding of retail and online data. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and managing ETL processes, optimizing data processing, and building scalable pipelines and models for business intelligence (BI). You will collaborate with stakeholders globally to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Implementing and managing robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various systems (Salesforce, warehouse & order management systems) into Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining data lakehouse solutions supporting D2C commerce and retail operations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance) to gather requirements and develop suitable data solutions.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity through governance practices and regular audits.
  • Staying updated on industry trends to implement innovative data warehousing and analytics solutions.
  • Documenting data-driven projects and troubleshooting issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Your profile:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines supporting BI initiatives.
  • Experience with Databricks or Snowflake setup, maintenance, and development.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements for system scalability and reliability.
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services related to data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of workflow engines, data security, and compliance standards in a global context.
  • Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript, and advanced SQL knowledge.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts to create complex data structures aligned with business needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Intercultural competencies and a team-oriented mindset suitable for a global environment.
  • A proactive, open, and communicative personality with a passion for digital transformation and e-commerce.
  • Ability to work independently, reliably, and with a willingness to take on challenges.
