Your role in our team

1. Design, implementation, and optimization of data management infrastructure: database, data warehouse, data lake
2. Ensure scalability, flexibility, and maintainability of the data solutions
3. Integrate data from various sources into target systems
4. Build and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
5. Design and implement data models to enable efficient data usage
6. Support data governance initiatives
7. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines
8. Represent the team and our key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
9. Mentor team members
10. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create insights
11. Work with Oerlikon business departments to advise and support data application design

Your Profile

1. Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or similar
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience
3. Excellent English skills; German is beneficial
4. Experience with data manipulation languages (SQL and Python)
5. Strong experience in data modeling, management, and querying (DWH, SQL/noSQL)
6. Experience setting up ETL pipelines (Python, Spark) in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
7. Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Infrastructure as Code
8. Familiarity with data infrastructure and governance
9. Project management experience is a plus, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners
10. Ability to solve complex tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment
