Commercial Banking Tribe

You will join the Commercial Bank Tribe, focusing on the needs of small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, an area with significant growth and investment within the Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of approximately 800,000 clients across three brands, including developing the BizBanking platform, digital sales and service processes, and automating processes for this client segment.

Our tribe is on a journey of extensive digitalization of business processes and migrating applications to the cloud. We work closely with business colleagues in an agile setup and collaborate across stakeholders and engineering teams to achieve a highly automated and adaptable process and application landscape.

As a Data Engineer (f/m/x), you will work within our data squad, mobilizing data and establishing the infrastructure needed to support our business use cases.

Your key responsibilities

• Loading data from various systems of record into our platform and making it available for further use.
• Providing infrastructure as code with Terraform for the data platform and transformations.
• Automating deployment and testing processes to enable fast, incremental improvements.
• Implementing data governance and protection to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Working in an agile environment, providing feedback to improve our ways of working.

Your skills and experiences

• University degree in a technological or scientific field or equivalent working experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java and experience with Apache Airflow.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies like Google BigQuery, including proficient SQL skills.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Good team player with a passion for technology and engineering, fluent in English.
