Responsibilities

1. Participate in the development and maintenance of data pipelines
2. Work on data modeling, ETL processes, and data transformation tasks to support the data warehousing infrastructure
3. Contribute to data quality assurance efforts by identifying and rectifying data anomalies and inaccuracies
4. Maintain clear and concise documentation of data pipelines, processes, and best practices
5. Work across departmental teams to support the data needs of internal partners, stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies
6. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and related fields
7. Create ad-hoc reports from our data warehouse using SQL/notebooks

Your profile

1. Familiarity with Kafka, Flink/Spark, HBase, and/or other relevant Big Data technologies
2. First-hand experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
3. Knowledge of database systems, SQL, and data modeling
4. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, Spark) is desirable
5. Experience with Cloudera solutions, both operational and application development, is a plus
6. Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning is a plus
7. Relevant degrees in a technical field of study (e.g., data or computer science)
8. Curiosity about the world of data engineering and enjoyment in solving arising challenges
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
11. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
