Job Opportunity: Data Engineer / BI Developer in Bremen, Germany

We are seeking to strengthen our central office, Dettmer Asset Holding, located in the heart of Bremen by the Weser, with a full-time Data Engineer / BI Developer role.

What you will do:

• Design, model, and implement advanced Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions in collaboration with IT management and specialists.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes and databases.
• Program databases, model data, and optimize data provisioning processes.
• Gather business requirements and design data flows and structures accordingly.
• Create ad-hoc analyses, reports, and documentation.

What we expect from you:

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification; experienced professionals and career changers are welcome.
• Proven experience in SQL database programming, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL DB, Data Lake, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Power BI) is a plus.
• Programming skills in Python or Java, with some experience in Machine Learning preferred.
• Enthusiasm for exploring new topics and solutions.
• Teamwork, structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style.
• Understanding of business processes and economic contexts.
• Excellent German and basic English skills in speaking and writing.
