Role Overview

As a team leader, you will be responsible for building the analytics team and defining the business and product analytics vision. You will support our teams through data collection, analysis, and interpretation, overseeing business operations and product data collection. Your insights will guide marketing and sales strategies, particularly in user acquisition and product usage. Staying abreast of industry trends through market research is essential. This role requires collaboration across product, marketing, and sales teams. You should be curious, tech-savvy, and passionate about leveraging data to inform business decisions, with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic thinking.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Designing data warehouse architecture, modeling, and ETL processes.
  2. Aggregating data from diverse sources (Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Laboratory - LIMS) and presenting relevant insights.
  3. Making data accessible and visualizing insights for internal teams and external partners.
  4. Mentoring colleagues without data engineering backgrounds to develop their reporting skills.
  5. Developing advanced analytical models (behavior segmentation, churn prediction, purchase propensity, recommendation engines) for various teams.
Skills Required
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of professional experience in a Data Engineering role.
  3. Strong understanding of data architectures and warehousing principles.
  4. Experience in life sciences, food, health, or pharma is advantageous.
  5. Knowledge of relational databases; experience with BigQuery, NoSQL, or similar databases is a plus.
  6. Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  7. Experience with ETL, orchestration, and data pipelining tools like Fivetran, dbt, Airflow.
  8. Familiarity with modern BI tools and their integration with data warehouses.
  9. Understanding of software development practices such as CI/CD, GIT, DevOps.
  10. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  11. Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
