The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the high quality physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology.
As a Data Center Technician, you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware (e.g., servers and their components) and server software (e.g., Google's Linux cluster). You will manage the configuration of components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and networking protocols. You will also participate in or lead project teams on installations and develop project contingency plans. In addition, you will be involved in the manual movement and installation of racks.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. We ensure our networks are up and running, providing users with the best and fastest experience possible.
