A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Data Catalog Product Owner (f / m / d), you will work in one of our locations in Germany. Your day will involve maximizing the value of the Siemens Energy Data Catalog by aligning the DevOps team backlog with stakeholder needs, including data governance and engineering teams. You will engage with users to gather feedback, prioritize tasks, and ensure that new catalog iterations meet their requirements. Your role will be key in communicating the vision and roadmap of the Data Catalog, fostering cross-team collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency. Candidates from abroad will be supported by Siemens Energy with relocation assistance to Germany.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. Establish and manage key relationships within the DevOps team, data governance, data engineering, process governance communities, and the software vendor of the SE Data Catalog.
2. Manage and prioritize the DevOps team backlog, supporting testing and deployment of new iterations.
3. Gather and apply feedback by collecting user stories and assessing benefits of new solutions.
4. Contribute to and communicate the vision and roadmap of the SE Data Catalog to user groups and senior management.

What You Bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Information Technologies, or a related field.
• Extensive DevOps experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Informatica Data Catalog, or similar products.
• Several years supporting a federated data governance framework within a multinational, preferably in the industry sector.
• Proven leadership in Sprint-based software DevOps using Atlassian Jira or similar agile tools.
• Skilled in designing templates and maintaining user stories with Atlassian Confluence or similar, and experienced in managing software in ServiceNow or comparable tools.
• Good knowledge of German (B2) and fluency in English, with motivation to contribute to energy transformation and decarbonization; open to relocation to Germany.
