Bettermile is seeking a Data Analyst to join the BetterPlanner team, focusing on optimizing last-mile delivery operations. The successful candidate will use SQL and Python to extract insights from data, assist in the development of machine learning models, and contribute to KPI tracking and analysis, all while enjoying a supportive, hybrid work environment in Berlin.

About the GLS Studio team:
Studio is an internal product builder within Bettermile. We solve high-impact logistics challenges through rapid, user-centered product development.
Seven years ago, a small team started to challenge the status quo. From wild greenfield concepts, a whole range of smart services eventually emerged, now known as Bettermile.
In early 2023, we started looking again for completely new challenges and solutions. One of our most exciting products to come out of Studio is BetterPlanner designed to optimize the step before the last-mile delivery operations by forecasting parcel arrivals and simplifying sorting from specific drivers or houses, it enhances operational flexibility and maximizes vehicle utilization.
As a Data Analyst on the BetterPlanner team, you’ll work at the heart of this intelligent system—powering simulations, refining predictions, and turning raw logistics data into operational clarity.
YOU WILL BE TAKING CARE OF
Helping define data solutions and research approaches to support business questions and operational needs.
Organizing and preparing datasets, with a focus on maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
Assisting in the development and implementation of machine learning models by preparing and analyzing relevant data.
Contributing to the setup and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) through dashboards and reports.
Identifying trends and sharing actionable insights to support data-informed decision-making.
Working closely with fellow analysts to distribute and interpret data findings across teams.
Presenting results clearly through visualizations and data storytelling tailored to different audiences.
YOU CHECK THESE BOXES
You excel at turning raw data into clear, actionable insights using modern analytics tools.
You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience using SQL and Python for data analysis, reporting, and supporting machine learning initiatives.
You’ve built dashboards from the ground up using tools like QuickSight, Tableau, or similar platforms.
You’re detail-oriented and analytical, with a track record of delivering insights that help teams make smarter decisions.
You communicate clearly in English and work smoothly with others—especially in cross-functional teams.
IT IS AWESOME IF YOU ALSO HAVE
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and how data fits into the bigger engineering picture.
Curiosity about how data pipelines work, with a basic understanding of data engineering concepts.
Experience working with Snowflake, AWS, or other cloud and big data technologies.
Interest or experience in geospatial analysis and working with location-based data.
