Data Analyst (f/m/d)

As a Data Analyst at Blacklane, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and support the continuous improvement of our operations and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, data modeling, and statistical analysis, with a passion for deriving actionable insights from complex datasets.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

• Independently analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights, framing problems correctly, cleaning, and interpreting data sets.
• Structure complex analytical CTEs in modeling pipelines using advanced SQL techniques, including window functions.
• Develop reliable and accurate analytical workflows using DBT to create analytics models.
• Apply statistical and analytical methods confidently to generate insights on specific issues or domain problems.
• Develop efficient tracking concepts, extend existing events and attributes, and proactively resolve tracking issues.
• Manage the delivery of technical stories by collaborating with other teams and stakeholders, supporting data literacy initiatives.
• Communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, creating understandable summaries of reports.
• Influence stakeholders by working on dashboards with company/department-wide impact, ensuring stakeholder engagement for realizing value.

ABOUT YOU:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL for advanced data modeling, experience with DBT for creating analytics models, and familiarity with statistical analysis methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and propose relevant metrics.
• Good understanding of the current domain or the ability to quickly acquire expertise and fluency in the domain.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and supporting junior team members.
• Detailed knowledge of data sources within the immediate domain and support for data literacy initiatives within the company.
