Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The da Vinci Clinical Sales Associate will maximize the utilization of installed da Vinci Surgical Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Implement the clinical sales plan defined by the da Vinci Clinical Sales Manager to increase system utilization.
  2. Become an expert in da Vinci Surgery, focusing on core indications for the region to support surgical robotics programs.
  3. Support regional sales and marketing events to raise system awareness and procedure adoption.
  4. Develop a surgical plan for each team to ensure they can independently use the system within a reasonable timeframe.
  5. Drive system utilization by working with surgical teams to select appropriate cases and ensure consistent usage.
  6. Expand the user base by engaging hospital staff and surgeon leaders to develop qualified leads; interactions with C-level and senior staff are supported by the Clinical Sales Manager.
  7. Lead surgical team training sessions on system operation, OR integration, and applications.
  8. Provide guidance and support during cases, serving as a resource for the surgical team.
  9. Manage administrative tasks, including reporting sales activities, outcomes, and expenses.
  10. Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany after training, providing guidance on handling Intuitive medical devices.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years in medical device support/training or healthcare sales.
  • Successful sales support or sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and the local language.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of the Operating Room environment (preferred).
