A Snapshot of Your Day
The SE Vulnerability Management Specialist is responsible for identifying, assessing, reporting and assisting in resolving vulnerabilities within Siemens Energy's IT and OT environments. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure the security and integrity of systems and data.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Vulnerability Identification and Assessment utilizing scan tools to detect vulnerabilities within SE IT environments, conduct regular scans and assessments to identify potential security weaknesses
  • Execute the vulnerability management process, propose process improvements and promote awareness and the importance of timely remediation
  • Work with Asset Managers, IT teams, and external providers to address and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of vulnerabilities, especially those rated as "EMERGENCY"
  • Maintain detailed records of vulnerability assessments, remediation actions, and compliance with security standards
  • Ensure compliance with product governance and product safety and liability laws throughout the product lifecycle


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
  • Extensive, long-term experience in vulnerability management and cybersecurity, with deep knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus and normal ticketing workflow.
  • Ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective remediation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English (C1) and German (C1).
