A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Cybersecurity Policy Advocate and Scenario Planner, you will serve as our company's voice in cybersecurity policy-making and lead cybersecurity initiatives in the context of global geopolitics. You will act as a bridge between our Geopolitics Team and Physical Security Team, ensuring collaboration on cybersecurity initiatives influenced by global geopolitical developments. You will represent our company's interests at a global level, influence policy and regulation shaping digital security, and prepare the company for future cybersecurity challenges shaped by geopolitical trends. You will work closely with the Chief Cybersecurity Officer and the Corporate Cybersecurity Strategy team to shape the organization's future in cybersecurity policy.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Represent the company's positions on cybersecurity issues to policymakers, regulatory authorities, and relevant forums at national, European, and global levels, while driving strategic cybersecurity and geopolitical scenario planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to influence cybersecurity policy in line with company objectives, considering the evolving geopolitical landscape.
  • Serve as an interface between the Geopolitics Team and the Physical Security Team to ensure a unified approach to cybersecurity and physical security challenges shaped by global political dynamics.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with policymakers, industry experts, NGOs, and other partners.
  • Analyze legislative proposals, regulations, and policy initiatives for their impact on the company and prepare position papers, comments, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements and standard processes. Educate internal partners and the public on emerging cybersecurity trends, risks, and strategies within the context of global political dynamics.

What You Bring

  • A university degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, or Cybersecurity.
  • Significant professional experience in strategic planning, policy-making, lobbying, or similar roles with a track record of influencing policy decisions.
  • Excellent knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, geopolitical trends, and the political environment at the EU and global levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex technical, legal, and geopolitical issues into clear, persuasive narratives. Proven networking skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various partners.
  • Strong commitment to ethical practices and adherence to lobbying regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German. Proficient in public speaking and communicating complex subjects to professional audiences. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
