Cyber Security/IT Specialist

Job Summary:

We are a small but growing company with a specialized software offering that caters to companies in the insurance industry. This is a hands-on position and the perfect individual will be involved and take responsibility.

We are looking for someone that has multiple years of experience in

• IT, cyber-security, and SOC2 compliance.
• Additionally, three to five years of experience specifically
• working in Azure is a requirement.
• This position is entirely remote/work from home.
• Work computer and accessories are supplied. Fast and stable
• Internet connection must be supplied by the candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and monitor Azure-based SIEM system (Azure Sentinel) to monitor for security breaches/issues
• Monitor Azure Front Door WAF logs for security-related concerns/issues
• Monitor security scanning software for vulnerabilities and resolve them
• Monitor the ticket system for any urgent issues relating to
• Infrastructure or security issues

Must Have:

• Five (5) years experience in practical cyber security roles.
• Experience in operating, configuring, and administering cyber security tools such as intrusion prevention systems, security information and event management tools, anti-malware services, and spam filters.
• Experience in the assessment of requirements, designs, plans, documentation, and testing for cyber security risk.

Nice to have:

• A university degree or diploma in engineering, computer science, cyber security, or a closely related field of study.
• Cyber security-related credentials like the CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
• Microsoft Office product proficiency.
• Knowledge of how to write information security-related documentation.
• Technical support and incident resolution experience.
• Information about and comprehension of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and other cyber security norms and laws.
• The capacity to multitask and work autonomously.
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities, including negotiating, teamwork, and efficient communication.
• Leadership experience in mid-size business organizations in IT-related jobs, preferably in the retail sector.
