Are you passionate about technology and eager to contribute to a greener future? Join our Cyber Security Operations team as a Cyber Security Engineer (f/m/d) at E.ON Digital Technology (EDT).

EDT plays a vital role in shaping the energy transition by leading E.ON’s digital transformation across Europe. We develop innovative ideas, implement new technologies, and deliver sustainable solutions to meet future energy challenges.

Our Cyber Security Operations team provides security services, consulting, and manages security workflows, collaborating closely with CERT & Threat Detection Engineering.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting our cybersecurity teams by deploying, operating, and optimizing security systems such as Cloud Security Infrastructure, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR.
• Advising business units and cybersecurity colleagues on evaluating security topics and strategic decisions affecting E.ON, and developing effective, user-friendly solutions for cybersecurity challenges.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, infrastructure, and tools to ensure compliance and clarity for internal teams and external providers.

Your profile:

• Degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• Several years of practical experience in IT/server administration or cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with security tools like MS Sentinel, MS Defender XDR, PA XSOAR, or similar.
• Strong experience managing public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
• Strong project management skills for handling complex tasks.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
