Cyber Security Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating cybersecurity initiatives across the Middle East and Africa region, focusing on achieving and maintaining ISO 27001 certification. This role will implement security controls, monitor compliance, and ensure that cybersecurity practices align with global standards and regional regulatory requirements.

• Implement and maintain ISO 27001 certificationfor the MEA region subsidiaries.
• Regular reporting on the cyber securitysituation to the respective management and to the Corporate InformationSecurity Officer (CISO) .
• Implement and communicate defined cyber securitymeasures by group cyber security team.
• Implement risk, vulnerability and threatmanagement by providing a coordinated process and tooling.
• Collaborate with teams to implement riskmitigation strategies and regularly update the risk management plan.
• Implement and communicate cybersecuritypolicies, procedures, guidelines and initiatives as well as local legal andregulatory cyber security requirements.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies andexternal regulatory requirements, reporting any deviations or compliance gaps.
• Conduct and support internal and external cybersecurity audits.
• Conduct regular training sessions and awarenessprograms for employees on cyber security topics.
• Develop cybersecurity awareness materialstailored to the MEA region, addressing specific regional threats and regulatoryrequirements.
• Ad-hoc reporting of major risks, cyber securitythreats, and policy deviations to the respective management and CISO.
• Coordinate and participate in the incidentresponse process, ensuring effective handling of security incidents.
• Prepare regular reports on incident handling andpost-incident reviews, identifying areas for improvement.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to integrateand embed cybersecurity practices into business operations and processes.
• Act as the primary liaison between the MEAregion and group cyber security team.
• Act as the primary interface and first contactfor all cyber security related requests from customers, suppliers, and internalparties.
• Ensuring the provision and maintenance of therequired security documentation.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information security,Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity,with a focus on ISO 27001 implementation and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 standards,including ISMS development, auditing, and certification processes.
• Experience with cybersecurity risk assessmentand mitigation strategies.
• Proven track record in developing andmaintaining security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Ability to conduct security awareness andtraining programs for diverse teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills tocollaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Professional certifications, such as ISO 27001Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Experience working in cybersecurity within theMEA region or other emerging markets.
• Knowledge of global, regional and localregulatory requirements for data security and privacy within the MEA region.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks andbest practices (e.g., NIST, COBIT).
• Experience in coordinating security initiativesin a multi-national or cross-functional environment.
