Position Overview

Autodesk Education Experiences (AEX) empowers the next generation of innovators by providing access to Autodesk tools, learning programs, and certifications.

We are seeking a Customer Success Manager (CSM), based in Germany, to focus on Mid-Market educational accounts across the DACH region, with a strong primary focus on Germany. The portfolio will predominantly include universities, universities of applied sciences, and technical colleges.

This role combines traditional Customer Success responsibilities — onboarding, adoption, success planning, and growth — with strategic territory-level engagement. You will work with educational institutions, partners, and education networks to extend Autodesk’s reach and coordinate scalable initiatives, events, and engagements that drive adoption of Autodesk Design & Make solutions across the territory.

You will participate in technical discussions and demonstrations to help customers maximize the value of Autodesk Design & Make solutions, particularly Autodesk Fusion. Strong hands-on Fusion capability is an important requirement for the role.

The role requires business fluency in German, as you will directly support German-speaking institutions across the DACH region. You will also need strong professional English to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across Autodesk Education Experiences, which operates predominantly in English.

You will report to the Senior Manager, AEX Field Engagement, and collaborate closely with Account Managers, partners, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Success – Mid-Market Accounts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for German-speaking Mid-Market educational accounts across DACH, helping institutions achieve measurable adoption and outcomes with Autodesk Fusion and other Design & Make solutions.
  • Develop and execute Customer Success Plans that include adoption milestones, ROI tracking, and strategic guidance.
  • Monitor usage, engagement, and adoption metrics, proactively identifying risks and opportunities for expansion.
  • Provide hands-on technical onboarding and solution guidance in Autodesk Fusion, including participating in detailed technical discussions and demonstrations to help institutions successfully implement and scale Fusion within their curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across academic institutions and help customers identify opportunities to broaden and deepen the use of Autodesk solutions.
  • Provide insights and feedback from customers to inform internal teams, product strategy, and program improvements.
Territory & Partner Engagement
  • Identify and engage with educational organizations, networks, and partners across the DACH region to develop scalable initiatives that complement direct Customer Success activity and extend Autodesk’s reach across institutions, educators, and students.
  • Coordinate with partners, education networks, and internal stakeholders on scalable events, programs, and engagements that increase awareness, adoption, and effective use of Autodesk Design & Make solutions, aligned with Autodesk Education adoption goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Account Managers, Sales, Product, Technical, Marketing, and external partners to align Autodesk resources with customer and territory priorities and identify opportunities to increase adoption and engagement across strategic educational accounts.
  • Advocate for customer needs within Autodesk, promoting solutions and initiatives that drive meaningful educational outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Education Technology, or related roles. Strong applicants from education roles — for example university lecturers, professors, or vocational instructors — with Fusion and CAD/CAM experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven ability to drive adoption of technology solutions within educational institutions or Mid-Market organizations.
  • Strong hands‑on technical expertise in Autodesk Fusion is essential, including the ability to provide practical user guidance, participate confidently in technical discussions and demonstrations, troubleshoot common challenges, and advise on implementation within educational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the German education system, including universities, universities of applied sciences, vocational and technical colleges, and relevant secondary education structures.
  • Business fluency in German is required to support German-speaking customers across Germany and the German-speaking portions of Switzerland and Austria.
  • Strong professional working English is required to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across Autodesk’s international AEX organisation.
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and territory‑level initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings, educational events, partner activities, and territory engagements across the DACH region, with a strong concentration of activity in Germany.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industrial experience in relevant Design & Make industries. Applicants with strong educational backgrounds, including professors, lecturers, or educators with significant hands‑on Fusion experience, are also highly relevant.
  • Understanding of the Autodesk Design & Make ecosystem and how tools such as Fusion support end‑to‑end workflows in education and industry.
  • Experience working with educational networks, partner‑led programs, large‑scale educational engagements, or initiatives designed to drive technology adoption across multiple institutions.
  • Experience with SaaS Customer Success practices and platforms such as Salesforce. And practical experience with AI tools such Claude, Co‑Pilot and Chat‑GPT.
