Purpose of the Job
- Ensure accurate and timely capturing and execution of customer sales orders.
- Provide first-line support to customer inquiries and resolve customer queries promptly.
- Enhance customer experience through excellent customer service.
- Collaborate within Sasol (M&S Supply Chain, P&O, QM, and Finance teams) to deliver the Sasol value proposition and achieve excellence in customer service.
Key Accountabilities
- Receive, capture, and execute sales orders, including rebates, commissions, and sample orders in SAP, ensuring completeness according to Sasol's business processes and governance framework.
- Monitor open orders, check documents, identify and resolve problems, and keep customers and internal teams informed of deviations.
- Communicate actively with customers regarding SAP order status, including order confirmation, delivery confirmation, and delivery dates.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries within set targets.
- Execute consignment stock processes, including reconciliation and invoicing as applicable.
- Issue pro forma invoices in coordination with M&S as applicable.
- Follow up on payment reminders to customers in cooperation with relevant functions (M&S Finance, Supply Chain).
- Manage Letters of Credit in cooperation with relevant functions as applicable.
Formal Education
- Commercial education required.
Working Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar customer service environment.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and information systems.
- Experience in customer service or inside sales with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of chemical operations and products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
- Team player with intercultural skills and ability to work across cultures and languages.
- Tolerance for stress and work pressure, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a dynamic environment.
