Position Purpose

To serve as the first contact with the Health Service for students and visitors by responding to questions and inquiries on a broad range of clinical and administrative issues by telephone or in person.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Competency with standard computer applications, including email.
• Ability to understand and observe strict confidentiality.
• Proficiency in managing high phone volume.
• Strong empathetic listening skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Team player mentality.
• Commitment to diversity and serving a diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Two years in a medical office or related setting.
• Experience with computerized appointment systems.
