Digital Realty seeks a Customer Service Engineer (f/m/d) in Düsseldorf to support data center infrastructure, monitoring systems, and planned servicing. You will perform corrective maintenance, inspections, and act as a first-line response, coordinating with vendors to maximize uptime and meet SLA targets.

Fluent German and English are required along with 2–3 years of electro-technical experience and familiarity with large-scale electrotechnical/mechanical systems.

Your Role

As a Customer Service Engineer(f/m/d) in Düsseldorf, you willprovide engineering support for monitoring, planned servicing and corrective maintenance on a range of critical data center infrastructure and associated equipment. You will manage routine plant inspections, act as a first-line response and ensure that all work is done in line with relevant regulations and our own processes and procedures. Conduct vendor management and act to maximize uptime/SLA (Service Level Agreement) and improve PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).

Within this function, you are acting with external and internal stakeholders such as Service Planning, Security, 3rd party suppliers and our customers.

Your Profile

• Experienced in electrotechnical field, ideally authorized to manage electrical switch operations
• Minimum 2-3 years practical experience in an electro technical environment
• Fluent in German and English
• Following technical skills are highly preferred:
• Operation and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical systems
• Operation and maintenance of mechanical systems
• Maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
• Maintenance of conveyor technique (elevators)
• Following soft skills are relevant for the role:
• Self-management, ability to manage multiple tasks, pro-active
• Stress resilience, ability to prioritize
• Ability to evaluate risk and solve complex solutions
