Digital Realty seeks a Site Engineer (f/m/d) in Fechenheim to provide engineering support for monitoring, planned servicing and corrective maintenance on critical data center infrastructure. You will manage inspections, act as first-line response, and ensure all work adheres to regulations and internal procedures.

You will collaborate with Service Planning, Security, 3rd party suppliers and customers to maximize uptime, improve PUE, and meet SLA requirements in a fast-paced data center

Qualifikationen

• Electrical switch operations authorization preferred.
• 2-3 years practical electro-technical experience.
• Fluent German and conversational English.
• Experience with large-scale electrotechnical and mechanical systems.
• Maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Your Role

As a Site Engineer (f/m/d) in Fechenheim, you willprovide engineering support for monitoring, planned servicing and corrective maintenance on a range of critical data center infrastructure and associated equipment. You will manage routine plant inspections, act as a first-line response and ensure that all work is done in line with relevant regulations and our own processes and procedures. Conduct vendor management and act to maximize uptime/SLA (Service Level Agreement) and improve PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).

Within this function, you are acting with external and internal stakeholders such as Service Planning, Security, 3rd party suppliers and our customers.

Your Profile

• Experienced in electrotechnical field, ideally authorized to manage electrical switch operations

• Minimum 2-3 years practical experience in an electro technical environment

• Fluent German and conversational English

• Following technical skills are highly preferred:

• Operation and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical systems

• Operation and maintenance of mechanical systems

• Maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems

• Maintenance of conveyor technique (elevators)

• Following soft skills are relevant for the role:

• Self-management, ability to manage multiple tasks, pro-active

• Stress resilience, ability to prioritize

• Ability to evaluate risk and solve complex solutions
